Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information US3 GROUP LLC (“US3”, “we”) collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers this website and the products we operate, including Whawit, our incident-management and on-call platform.
1. What we collect
- Contact details you send us. If you write to us or book a call, we keep your name, email address and whatever you chose to tell us, so we can answer.
- Account information. For people who use Whawit: the email address they sign in with, their organization, and the settings they choose.
- Mobile phone number. Only if a Whawit user chooses to be reachable by phone when they are on call. See section 4.
- Usage information. Standard web and product analytics — pages visited, features used — to understand what works and to troubleshoot.
2. Why we use it
To provide and operate our services, to answer people who contact us, to keep accounts secure, and to meet legal obligations. We do not use personal information for automated decisions that produce legal effects.
3. Sharing
- We do not sell, rent or lease personal information.
- We share it with service providers who process it on our behalf and only on our instructions — for example cloud hosting, and the telecommunications provider that delivers a message or a call. They may not use it for their own purposes.
- We disclose information when the law requires it.
4. Mobile information and messaging
Whawit can reach a user by SMS or voice call when they are on call. The number is entered by that person, in their own account, and used for two things only: a one-time code so they can prove the number is theirs, and an on-call page when an incident is escalated to them.
No mobile information is sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.
A phone number is disclosed only to the telecommunications provider that delivers the message or the call on our behalf, for the sole purpose of delivering it. The messaging program itself — how a person opts in, what we send, how often, and how to stop — is described in our Terms of Service.
A user can remove their number at any time in Whawit under Preferences > Phone, which stops both the codes and the pages, or reply STOP to any message.
5. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as the account exists or as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, and then delete it or make it anonymous.
6. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@us3.group and we will answer.
7. Security
Access to personal information is restricted to the people who need it to do their work, and credentials are held in managed secret storage rather than in application code.
8. Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
